"I've always been a really avid reader from

a young age and my mum, similarly, she's

probably read every book that's ever been

written. There’s something so special about

falling in love with the world of a book, and

the character within it, and then having the

chance to bring that person to life. I feel so

lucky that in my career so far I’ve been able

to do that with Marianne and now with Kya."

Daisy Edgar-Jones might be best known for

her role as Marianne in Normal People, but

that’s all about to change as the Golden

Globe-nominated actor takes the lead as

Kya in 2022’s Where the Crawdads Sing

produced by Reese Witherspoon. Not

stopping there, the release of the FX on

Hulu series Under the Banner of Heaven,

plus top-secret new movie Fresh are waiting

to propel the 23-year-old actor into the

arms of even more award nominations (playing

Marianne earnt her Critics' Choice, BAFTA,

and Golden Globe Award nominations alone).
