After winning the ‘Singing Contest of Icelandic Junior Colleges’ back in 2014, Glowie was offered contracts from 11 record labels - all of which she turned town. Now releasing music on her own time and her own terms, the Icelandic singer-songwriter is taking her punchy, body positive pop music global. During a brief stopover in London after supporting Ed Sheeran in her hometown, we  caught up with the 22-year-old to reflect on the release, what’s to come and why she’s stepping up as a role model.
