people helping me, like a stylist or
something… Things were just a little bit
shorter, and the hair was just a little
better, you know? Those kinds of things.”
At the end of last year, Gwen Stefani
announced her calamitous return to the
musical fore with her latest single, “Let
Me Reintroduce Myself”, with a knockout
performance on The Voice. In true Stefani
fashion a fun and fantastical video
followed, taking us on a playful visual
retrospective of her most iconic looks —
the varsity vest and fishnet pairing days
of No Doubt’s “Just A Girl”, the classic
50s polka-dot masterpiece Stefani dons
in the video for “Don’t Speak”, and the
oh-so-00s full-fringe glamour of
“The Sweet Escape”.
Covering our Spring 2021 issue, Stefani
reflects on her creative process for the
track and writing her upcoming album.

collaborations with fiancé Blake Shelton,
