JORDAN SEAMON on the cover of our Autumn/Fall 2020 Issue

“I did everything that I said I would love to do. I’ve released an album, I have
the single out, I’m a verified music user on Spotify, I’ve been in a television
show — a really well-known television show….”

It’s been a life-changing month for Jordan Kristine Seamon, but the actor,
singer and breakout star of Luca Guadagnino’s We Are Who We Are always
knew she was destined for greatness. “I was like six or seven when I told my
parents I wanted to be an entertainer,” she tells us from her home in Atlanta.
“All the other kids were talking about being ballerinas and astronauts and I
was like, ‘Well, I can do all of that and more. I’m an actor.’”

At the beginning of the month, the 17-year-old dropped her debut album under
punchy pseudonym JK. Aptly titled Identity Crisis, it feels like a deep personal
project filled with ruminations on heartbreak, lust and letting go. We Are Who We
Are dropped on HBO just two weeks later, with Seamon’s portrayal of Caitlin
cementing her status as one of the most exciting new actors of her generation.

In our Autumn issue, Seamon reflects on why she was drawn to the nuances of her
character, how she prepared for the role, working with co-stars Jack Dylan Grazer
and Kid Cudi and the special birthday she experienced on set.
