SINGER JOSH LEVI COVERS WONDERLAND AUTUMN 2020 ISSUE

Having started out acting in Emmy Award-winning show
Friday Night Lights and later earning a spot as an X Factor
finalist in 2013, Josh Levi is no stranger to the entertainment
industry. But after making the decision to leave his former
band, Citizen Four, to go solo, the artist has come into his
own. With the release of his debut solo project “DISC ONE”
earlier this summer, Levi established his own sound merging
a range of different genres, drawing from pop, R&B, hip-hop,
alternative and rock.

Inspired by “rockstars” — from Queen and Prince to Beyoncé
— he’s making it clear he’s an artist ready to make an impact,
and while “DISC ONE” set a precedent for the music Levi
wants to make, it also laid a foundation for the empire he
wants to build beyond it. In our Autumn issue, he takes us
through his journey so far and his vision for the future, from
the importance of gaining his bachelors degree in science
in business, to his aims of getting creative with new ventures
in the industry and maybe even having his own label.

“We’re at a point now where each day is not promised and
there’s so much happening, where you owe it to yourself to
get as close to what you want in life as possible,” he explains.

“And for me, as an artist, I don’t have to compromise or
change who I am just to be signed, or to have more this or
that. I’d rather get what I want, say what I want to say and
be who I want to be while I’m here — and it took me a
minute to kind of realise that, to stand in that and to grow
in that.”
