In 2016, model, activist, entrepreneur and Forbes 30 under 30
Art & Culture honouree Leomie Anderson founded LAPP —
‘Leomie Anderson the Project the Purpose’ — after a blog post
she wrote about consent went viral. Providing a safe, accessible
space online, the platform explores everything from fashion to
politics with think pieces, interviews, cultural analysis and advice,
as well as hosting the LAPP clothing line. From athleisure to logo
pieces and slogan t-shirts — Rihanna famously wore an iconic baby
pink LAPP hoody reading THIS P*SSY GRABS BACK to a NYC
Women’s March in 2017 — the range is a visual representation of
the brand, and just one of the elements of the company Anderson
is expanding this year.
East London artist Lancey Foux has made his own disruptive imprint
on the creative industries too, crafting an elusive, ever-evolving sound
and eclectic visual universe to match. Pushing his music beyond the
confines of genre, Foux is determined to continuously divert our attention
and exceed our expectations, drawing inspiration from his world and the
new directions life takes him.
For our Autumn issue, the London couple sit down for a game of 20
questions, reflecting on the experiences that have shaped them as
individuals and the life they’re creating together.
