Wonderland.
SALMA HAYEK COVERS WONDERLAND SPRING 2021 ISSUE
“I feel really lucky that I’ve had a
life that’s seen transformation. I
think some other generations
don’t get to see, in their lifetime,
such a palpable transformation.
Not only for Latinas, but for
women. I mean, look how far
we’ve come...”
From Desperado to Frida, actor,
producer, director and activist
Salma Hayek has lit up our
screens with every project
she takes on, and her latest
role in Mike Cahill’s Bliss is
no different.
Starring as the bewitching Isabel,
Hayek takes us on a spiralling
journey split between two worlds,
and two different versions of her
character. Exploring parallel lives
and the relationship between
fantasy and reality, the actor’s
magnetic presence shines through
as she guides us through the
spectacle, unravelling our expectations
and raising more questions with every turn.
Speaking to fellow actor Camila
Morrone for our Spring 2021 issue,
Hayek reflects on her illustrious
career so far, fighting for progression
within Hollywood and the recent US
presidential election, how happiness
is rooted in simplicity and why, if you
have a creative mind, you should
never be bored.
