“I really like fantasy and more stylised projects, like Dungeons & Dragons and Gretel & Hansel, because the set designs are insane. In D&D for the draconic races (the big lizard people… I don’t want to describe them like that but for people who aren’t familiar that’s basically what they are), they actually built the dragon heads and it was mechanical and someone was in the background mimicking them, it was almost like puppetry. They tried so hard to make things as practical as possible without the special effects, and I love that.”
